General information:
The Monxton and Amport village hall was built in the late sixties, a modern building with facilities for events for up to 100 people. It is an excellent venue for local clubs and societies, events, family celebrations and children’s parties. It has a small stage, which is ideal for small productions. An extensive refurbishment programme has been carried out over the last five years and substantial improvements were made including a complete kitchen upgrade, new lighting system to both the hall and the kitchen, ninety new chairs, twelve new tables, resurfaced hall floor and new double glazed windows and doors. The village hall does not currently have full facilities for disabled people but a permanent access via a ramp is to be constructed.
Parking:
There are 4 parking places directly outside the Hall with over 20 additional parking spaces along the road.
Availability:
Hall availability can be found using the link but please contact the Hall Booking Secretary to book as the link is only updated on a monthly basis.
Alcohol licence:
The cost of an alcohol licence is £20. Please note that if you are operating a “bring your own” or “alcohol supplied for free” private event, you do not need a licence. Test Valley B. C. require applications for Alcohol Licence to be sent to them 14 working days before the Event.

Hire Charges 2009/2010:
These charges are revised and authorised by the Trustees. Any potential hirer should be clear as to the rate being charged before entering into any booking agreement. Minimum booking is 2 hours and maximum duration is provisionally 5 hours – unless previously agreed with the Hall Booking Secretary. If Setting up is required, this is not normally charged. All hirers must clear up immediately after the event and all events must be completed by midnight.

Adult Parties (2-5 hours) – resident £10 (up to a max of £50)

Children’s Parties (2-5 hours) – non-resident £12 (up to a max of £50)
Specific Hire Charges:
Elections (All facilities) £150 per day
Facilities included in the charge:
All of the above rates include use of the Kitchen, all crockery, tables and chairs as required and the toilet facilities. Heating and lighting are also provided.
Equipment Hire Charges: The Hall also has equipment, which it is possible to hire separately:
Trestle Tables (Max of 12 for hire): £2.50 per day per table
Card Tables (Max of 8 for hire): £2 per day per table
20 x Plastic chairs (for use on hard standing only): £10
Children’s tables (Max of 4 for hire): £2 each
Children’s Chairs (Max of 18 for hire): £0.25 each
Crockery (30+ sets): £0.50 per set per day

[2] Parties will be charged a £25 deposit for village residents and a £100 deposit for non-residents. Must be finished by Midnight.
